The inner wedge provides a platform on which to rest the fingers, for both comfort and stability with a very secure grip (vital when using gloves/mitts to remove hot pans from the oven).
The top of the lid has a distinctive set of 3 stepped ridges, designed to collect flavored steam droplets and allow them to gather, drop and disperse more evenly back into the food being cooked, ensures the food stays moist and improves the flavor.
The inside of the pots has a large radius corner for ease of use with cooking utensils and to remove corner food traps.
The base of the pots is slightly thicker than the side walls, helping to create a more even distribution of heat across the floor of the pots.
